Innovation in the Process Development Organization at Amgen

Linda Leads the Technology development efforts in Process Development at Amgen, including cross functional and external collaborations and the PD piece of the Postdoc program. PD contains both small and large molecule development efforts, and is responsible for the analytics and production of therapeutics, from the selection of the final candidate through clinical manufacturing, and beyond. Our understanding of human biology, diseases, and our ability to target treatments is rapidly evolving, and the next few years will be especially important as the industry navigates through these exciting changes. The ability to not only adapt to these changes but to lead them has become increasingly important, depending on Innovation and outside the box thinking. Linda will discuss the efforts to create a culture of innovation in Amgen PD, and also provide a brief introduction to what Process Development is.
